AIDS Center

Mental Health Clinic

People with HIV/AIDS generally experience emotional distress with a significant change in their sense of well-being. Some commonly experienced feelings and reactions to this illness include:

  • Depression
  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Grief
  • Sense of isolation

Emotional well-being and improved mental health are important aspects of enhancing immune system function.

The AIDS Center offers you assistance in dealing with stress through individual and/or group psychotherapy. Depending on you needs, treatment may be either short-term or long-term.

Consultative assessments are scheduled for 30-minutes with a therapist to evaluate your emotional needs and to determine the most appropriate therapy.

For an appointment or for further information, call the Intake Coordinator at 585-275-3505.
